Retail Sales Associate/Pawnbroker

BJ Pawn is looking for highly qualified individual to join our team. Experience in the pawn industry is not required. As a pawnbroker you will ensure high levels of customer service by greeting, engaging and interacting with customers to initiate sales and loan activity.

General duties and responsibilities:

• Greet and interact with all customers to determine their individual needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions
• Perform open/close procedures
• Keep sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain display of merchandise
• Perform sales and loan transactions
• Effectively communicate to customers the legal aspects of the pawn and buy transactions

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (Preferred but not required)
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Must be Computer literate
• Cash handling experience
• 1 year customer service experience or retail (Preferred but not required)
• Computer literate
• Outgoing and energetic personality
• Ability to multi-task

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Continuous standing required
• Frequent walking, reaching, bending
• Occasional climbing of ladder
