EFCU Financial, a dynamic credit union with over 90-years history of solid growth and stability in Baton Rouge, LA, is seeking an experienced and service-oriented team player to join our team as a Security Administrator.
In our service-focused organization, our Security Administrator works closely with the other members of the IT team to develop, implement and analyze a comprehensive information security program, this includes defining security policies, processes, and standards. This team member researches, evaluates, and recommends systems and procedures for the prevention, detection, containment, and correction of data security breaches. The Security Administrator works with the IT team to select and deploy technical controls to meet specific security requirements and define processes and standards to ensure that security configurations are maintained.
Critical Knowledge, Skills and Educational Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or completion of a specialized course of study as a business or trade school.
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience or related experience in computer science, network security, computer operations, network administration, and software packages.
- Prefer candidates who are Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP) according to the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium.
- Penetration Testing experience preferred.
- Experience in Microsoft systems administration required, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer preferred.
- Experience in administration of network hardware, virtual environments, storage environments, Exchange, Active Directory, Windows Server operating systems, patch and remediation software, endpoint security, secure email gateways, firewalls and security appliances, telecom systems, security camera systems, Wi-Fi networks and hardware, network monitoring tools, and penetration tools.
- Excellent technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems and a wide range of security technologies, such as identity and access management (IAM) systems, anti-malware solutions, automated policy compliance tools, and desktop security tools.
- Candidates must be highly analytical and effectively able to troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements and other issues
- Audit, Compliance, or Governance experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience in developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans.
- Ability to work with and through people to establish goals, objectives, and action plans.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles, as a means of relating business needs to security controls.
- In-depth knowledge of risk assessment methods and technologies.
- Experience with cabling standards for data and telephone equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Must be dependable and reliable.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must pass all credit and bond requirements.
